Why do I want to make games? I suppose it has to do with 3 main reasons.

 

     First, I’ve always enjoyed helping people. I believe writing is the way I can best help others. I’m not expecting to tell some profound message, change the world, or that following this dream will be easy. I just want to make stories that people genuinely enjoy. I want people to be as emotionally invested in my stories as they are for the stories of No More Heroes, the NiER series, or Undertale. Through that investment, I want those who experience my work to get something out of it that can make their life better, even if it's just by giving them something they can be happy about in their lives.

     Second, I made various different characters and stories growing up to fill the void some personal issues left. Mainly as something to impress potential friends or to cope with loneliness. Over time my stories grew and grew as I began experimenting with all sorts of different ways to tell them, and from there that developed into a genuine passion for creating """unique""", interesting stories. Making games - or at the very least, writing for them - is just my way of actualizing that passion.

     And third; I just like video games. I've been playing them my entire life, and I love how they've become a medium for unique, stylized storytelling. I know game development is hardly sunshine and rainbows, but I love games enough to want a hand in creating stories for them regardless.
